Hello, I'm Hajin Lim.

I am an endowed assistant professor of  the Information Science and Culture (ISC) program  housed in the Department of Communication at Seoul National University (SNU). Also, I am a co-director of the HCI+d lab with Prof. Joonhwan Lee. 

 I received B.A . in Communication and ISC and M.Eng from SNU.  Following that, I received M.S and Ph.D. in Information Science from Cornell UniversityPrior to joining SNU, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the People and Robot Lab. in  the Department of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

My research interests lie in human-computer interaction, computer-supported collaborative work, human-AI interaction, and multilingual communication. My main research focus is to design and build novel communication support tools that can foster inclusive and understanding online communication environments. My design approach involves incorporating AI-based analytics into online communication contexts to leverage people’s communication competence and understanding of others.
